360 x's 3

We left on our Christmas vacation last Friday and our first stop was Topeka Kansas!  Our BFF's Kim and Dan Pempin were voted in as the new senior pastors of the adorable Dover Federated Church just outside of Topeka.  We had a fantastic 2 nights there hanging out with their new peeps and watching the process unfold.  We were so blessed to spend time getting to know them all.
There was a neat Christmas concert at the church put on by a local worship leader and one of the band members of Montgomery Gentry.  They rocked it out!

Then we headed on North up through Iowa to Wisconson, but not before we ran into some nasty weather and roads.  If you saw on Facebook already I started to ask friends to pray as we realized just how bad the roads were.  Then as Dusty slow down, and as folks were praying we lost control of our truck going 50 miles an hour-ish.  Wow, Dusty looked over his shoulder and told the girls to hang on that they were going for a ride, and about then Dusty's instinct to to speed up and start the mad driving skills that he has.   We had total PEACE as we spun around.  It was totally bazaar, not of this world or something, our emotions that is.  We made 3 full rotations in the center of the highway and came to a stop facing the wrong way in our very same lane.  It was a miracle.
Shortly after we regrouped and got driving again we found a car stranded in the ditch between the highway lanes.  They were digging out with their hands.  Here is the picture from the truck as Dusty pulled them out.  I forgot to mension that we got stuck too, and Amber Lou prayed us out.  It was so cute.

Wisconson was beautiful.
The snow was deep and the trees were tall and snow covered.  Like a winter wonderland.
We did alot of fun stuff there.  The girls got to see Santa, ice skate, and eat out alot.  I helped out Melody Gerry by making 28 baskets for a silent auction at her church and crafting up some journal's for a battered womans shelter.  I was a GREAT outlet for me!

Now we are all the eay home to Olathe Kansas!  YEAH!
I love this place.  I love our church, family and friends.  Oh, gotta run, present time here at Grandme Pam's!
