1 Peter 5
The Flock of God
1 I, who am an elder myself, appeal to the church elders among you. I am a witness of Christ's sufferings, and I will share in the glory that will be revealed. I appeal to you2 (A)to be shepherds of the flock that God gave you and to take care of it willingly, as God wants you to, and not unwillingly. Do your work, not for mere pay, but from a real desire to serve.3 Do not try to rule over those who have been put in your care, but be examples to the flock.4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the glorious crown which will never lose its brightness.Isn't God so faithful to give us exactly what we need? I'll have to say so. I have been super busy the past few days with the opening of the CROWN, which 30 or so YWAM ers attended! We were so blessed! Anyway, I have been totally exhausted. In a good way though. So, I have not had much time alone with the Father. But last night after hanging out with a few great students I asked God to give me something from his word that I could use and then get to sleep. He took me to 1 Peter chapter 5. A nice and short chapter chucked full of gems. I hope it is a blessing to you to.
