Embrace the Camera, and The Earthquake Victims-

Howdee folks, how are ya on this fine Thursday?
I hope  this post finds you blessed, and feeling hopeful today in the light of the Risen Savior!

We are here in Central Asia where a massive 7.3 earthquake happened a few days ago.

Our training here is going awesome.
We have 2 hours every morning of prayer and intercession that is not your grandma's prayer time.  Students take turns facilitating, and the creativity of God shines right on through.  Today was no exception to that

We have been praying daily for the people touched in the earthquake, the loss and the return of hope to come.

Ava and her Daddy helped lead our time yesturday.  Dusty is not nessisarily the, how do I say this...
sit in a room for a couple of hours and pray type of guy.
He is more of the hit the streets at 3am and shine the light kind of guy and pray as you walk kind of guy.

Corporate times of worship and prayer have an awesome flow just because of the number of people, but my man has a creative side that he let out this day. God is growing in him a unique way for him to honor his Father. Wow, I was so moved.
When it was talked about that students would take over the worship times (after the 3 day burn we went to in the port city of which the Gospel along with Paul entered the world at......)
Dusty said that he received a download from God. Ideas on how to facilitate times
of corporate prayer and intercession. A Lot of them! He acted like it was no big deal, but I was so amazed, I am watching my man become more and more like his Savior daily.

He bought incense (for the first time in his life), candles and hand wash.
He washed the hands of every student symbolizing coming with a clean heart.
Then they lit candles as we transitioned from area to area.
He, Ava and another student (The Aussie) held a prayer vigil like you see
after disasters like this. The incense represented an number of things, but the point was that we were offering a frangence to our Father, like the scriptures talk about our prayers being.
We cried out for the buried people to receive air and light and to be found, we sang songs and glorified the God who was there and working already. They had 3 different stations. Places to pray specifically for different subjects. People wrote poems, drew pictures and had visions (me). It was a dynamic time of listening to God and responding.

Ava' s heart was really sad after seeing some things on the TV.  Images that a 9 year old might not need to see.  She processed by drawing pictures, and be sharing with others what she had drawn.  It restored hope in me and her, at the same time.
Later friends!

And for fun.....
